Education

I have worked extensively in education (including mainstream, special and Early Years) during the last fifteen years. This has included
  • pastoral roles in mainstream secondary schools in Hampshire including, for a time, with a specific focus on alcohol and substance misues
  • managing three Sure Start Centres in Southampton
  • facilitating family liaison and attendance work at a Pupil Referral Unit in Somerset
Pastoral work in schools has taught me how to network effectively with teachers and other educational professionals; I have gained a tremendous respect for the commitment, diligence, compassion and sensitivity of my colleagues in the teaching profession, and an understanding of some of the challenges that working in education presents.

If you work in a teaching or support role in education and would be interested to enquire about counselling, please do contact me. Please see 'times, fees etc' for up to date information about my current availability.

You may also be interested to access Education Support’s telephone helpline by phoning
